Without further adieu, we'd like to introduce you to the rest of our wedding party. We know these people will not only keep us sane over the next few months, but will do so with laughter and love. Thank you guys (and gal) for being part of this journey!

JUSTIN'S SIDE

Carolyn Snell

Occupation: Artist & Tour Management
Hometown: Omaha, Nebraska

First Memory of Justin:
It’s hard to remember the first time I met Justin because I feel like we’ve been friends forever. However, one of my favorite memories is when Justin started working at Starstruck and we went to Fido to have our first real “get to know you” lunch. I remember thinking “this guy is really smart, talented, good looking and has his shit together. If he is straight, I’m pretty sure he’s going to be my next boyfriend.” By the end of the lunch and conversation, I realized I wasn’t his type, but he was going to be my one of my best friends for life! :)

How will you keep the rest of the wedding party in line?
My technical role at the wedding is a GroomsWoman (or as I like to say, the other #groomsgirl with Lindsey), but in my real life, I usually have the job of keeping people in line. It’s going to be difficult to not try to organize things, but instead, I’m going to just enjoy the day and celebrate the marriage of one of my best friends with someone who is as equally amazing. However, after a cocktail or two, I might be bossing people around.

What is your all time favorite movie and why?
One of my most favorite movies is When Harry Met Sally. While the love story between the main characters is awkward and fumbly and honest and perfect, I am more drawn to the vignettes in between the story line, where the older couples talk about how they met and fell in love and why they are still together. I can only imagine Justin and Nathan, years from now, talking about their love story — how they met, fell in love, had an amazing wedding and are still in love after all these years. I am so grateful to be a part of their love story and can’t wait to celebrate with them next year!

NOTE FROM JUSTIN:
Carolyn is the closest thing I have to a sister. She's got a heart of gold, works her tail off and constantly makes me raise the bar for who I am, both personally and professionally. She's my gut check, my speed dial, my family. Oh, and single straight men, she's available and going to make someone an amazing wife. All interested applicants will need to go through me. Break her heart, and I will break you. :)

First Memory of Justin:
I started following Justin on Twitter after I read a review he'd written of The Picnic.  For the next year, our paths kept almost crossing as we attended many of the same shows and concerts; however, we never actually met face-to-face. Finally, he invited me to a viewing party he was having for the Golden Globes. I latched on, and the rest is history!

How will you keep the rest of the wedding party in line?
I'll attempt to keep everyone on time...and by "attempt to keep everyone on time," I mean I'll stare nervously at my watch until somebody else takes notice and says "we should probably go."

What is your all time favorite movie and why?
Hmm. This is a tough question. Well, my favorite movie is actually Silence of the Lambs. That doesn't really scream "wedding blog" though, and I feel pressure to pick something a little more romantic. I also love the movie version of Chicago. Again, not really wedding appropriate. I guess I'll go with You've Got Mail.  It has everything - Nora Ephron, New York City, bookstores, and romance!

NOTE FROM JUSTIN:
Lee makes me laugh like no one else can. I can't even begin to count how many times I've laughed until I've cried with him by my side. But beyond the laughter, he's one of the rare people you meet in life that is the definition of "true-blue" personified. We connect not only as friends, but as small town Southerners with that shared life experience only we can understand! Lee calls it like it is, and I can pretty much tell you with 100% certainty that he's always right. Yes, Lee, I said it, you're always right.

NATHAN'S SIDE

Jason Warner

Occupation: Realtor / Entrepreneur
Hometown: Baltimore, Maryland

First Memory of Nathan:
I met Nathan at a Lee University Homecoming.  I was very good friends with a girl who married a very good friend of Nathan's and she introduced me to Nathan.  Nathan told me that he also lived in Nashville and although I wasn't 100% sure he was gay, I suspected.  We connected via facebook and got together for coffee (upon which I left my lap top and called him begging him to run back and see if it was still at our table).  He did so and sure enough when I pulled up to Frothy Monkey, he was standing outside waiting to hand it to me through the car window.  I realized then that's the kind of friend he would be; happy and willing to do anything a friend would need at any moment.  I remember the young man I sat across from having coffee and him sharing a lot about his journey, his difficulties and his hopes for the future.  I'm so excited to see how his future has unfolded and continues to unfold.  I'm even more excited to be a part of his journey and stand with him on his wedding day.

What are you most looking forward to as a groomsman?
The food and booze of course!  And just savoring the magic that I know it's going to be.

What is your all time favorite song/artist?
I love music and different kinds so this is REALLY hard.  Just please don't play the standard list! No YMCA, Chicken Dance, etc.  Hopefully we'll hear some Top 40 stuff along with some classics.  A little swing might be fun too!

NOTE FROM NATHAN:
Jason always bring life to a party. He makes everyone want to join in and sing or dance whenever he is around. I am grateful to have him in my life not only for the fun times, but also for his genuine heart. I will always remember when he invited me to his home for Thanksgiving dinner and a family bon fire a few years ago.  I was without a place to go that year and his warmth and kindness made me part of his family. Thanks for making me laugh and for bringing life to everyone around you. Cue Golden Girls theme song

First Memory of Nathan:
My first memory of Nathan comes from Pull-Tight's production of 9-5: The Musical.  I had come in late to the whole production as I was cast to replace someone in the cast who could no longer be in the show.  I walked into the theatre for a music rehearsal having never done theatre, never reading music, and never having been to a music rehearsal.  So I really did not know what to expect.  I took a seat and ended up next to Nathan.  I remember the moment very clearly actually as he had a kind, warm smile and was nice enough to catch me up to speed on where we were.  I can say that I liked everyone in that cast instantly, but Nathan was the first.

What are you most looking forward to as a groomsman?
I am most looking forward to sharing in the experience as a whole.  I truly love and respect Justin & Nathan as friends and as men.  I am blessed to call them both "friend" and I am honored to have the opportunity to share in this special part of their lives.  I find myself with a patient, non rushed excitement; ready to live in each moment as we travel this path wedding party path together.

What is your all time favorite song/artist?
I do not know that I have one.  I grew up loving Michael Jackson, especially the entire Thriller album, but still everything from him at every age.  I appreciate Pink Floyd and at one time owned almost every album they had released.  My taste in music is very eclectic.  It usually depends on how I am feeling or what sort of inspiration I find.

NOTE FROM NATHAN:
Ben has been such a great friend to me. I have enjoyed watching him grow into the great stage performer he has become. We have shared many memories in and out of the Pull-Tight Theater. I remember his dedication to learning a show even after joining the 9 to 5 cast a few weeks late. That was just a first glimpse of the kind of man Ben is, and continues to be. His passion for life and dedication to his family makes me want to be a better version of myself. You’re the best Ben and I can’t wait to share the stage again in another show!

Stay tuned for lots of new posts coming soon! We've been busy getting settled in our new home, but are about to start the process of picking invitations, cake, caterer, clothing and more.
